Why Choose an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)?Typically, ASCs charge less than hospitals. We are able to provide high quality care at a lower cost than hospitals. According to Federal data, Medicare patients who have a procedure at an ASC pay an average 41% less out of pocket expenses. These expenses for other insurances will depend upon your specific plan. Cost savings can make a necessary or elective surgery more affordable during difficult economic times. You are welcome to call our Business Office for an estimate of your out of pocket expenses so that you may compare us to other providers.

Giving Back and Going Green
Encouraging sustainable and progressive practices is fundamental to us. Harnessing solar power, recycling and donating reusable medical and office supplies are all ways in which we strive to reduce waste and to contribute to our community. Since we opened in 2001, we have been cutting or energy costs. Our roof houses 3 levels of photovoltaic cells; lowering our energy costs and allowing us to give back energy to PG&E. Recycling paper, cans and plastic is part of everyone’s daily practice. MSSC has also expanded our recycling program to include donations to give back to our local and international non-profits.
